While the promotion is expected to run through Sunday, December 25, 2023, so you need to be there by then, the usual Prime Video rules apply after that: you have 30 days to watch a rented movie. Once started, you have 48 hours to watch movies. But which movies, exactly?
As always, we would like to give you one or two recommendations at this point:
“Dune“: Denis Villeneuve’s latest sci-fi masterpiece (“Blade Runner”, “Arrival”) is one of the best films of recent years, and not just for us. In the FILMSTARTS review there are full 5 stars and a clear recommendation not only for sci-fi enthusiasts and fans of the template.

“X“: Ti West delivered one of the really big, sinister horror highlights of the year with his supposed porn-influenced “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” Dirty, brutal and with a very strong twist.

“Minions 2 – In search of the mini boss“: Just six months after its theatrical release, the second “I – Simply Despicable” prequel about the vivacious helpers of the supervillain Gru is already available for 99 cents. A must for all Minion fans!

“closed society“: In his latest comedy, director Sönke Wortmann mocks the German teaching staff with a revealing bite and many stars. Our conclusion: with this ensemble of actors, one likes to be locked up!

“Huge talent“: In our opinion, one can only love Nicolas Cage. And of course a movie in which Nicolas Cage plays Nicolas Cage! The ironic action fun with “Mandalorian” star Pedro Pascal, among others, is entertaining and full of cinema references, especially Nicolas Cage of course!

“The black phone“: The new shocker from “Sinister” creator Scott Derrickson is one of the best horror films of the year, but unfortunately went a little too unnoticed in theaters. Catch up now! Ethan Hawke as “Gripper” is totally worth it – and so is the fight against the creepy killer.

“The worst person in the world“: Joachim Trier’s new movie is a swan song for the generation of (too) many possibilities – and just finished 8th in our Best Movies of the Year list!

“HunterHunter“: The bitter horror thriller landed quietly and secretly in home theaters this year, but is a real insider tip for all fans of the brutal struggle for survival. And he absolutely deserves the 18 rating.

“The Addams family“: Anyone who got an appetite for more entertaining Addams horror thanks to the Netflix mega hit “Wednesday” can now go straight to the cult film adaptation from the 90s for a price of 1 euro!

“The best movie ever“: One of the most recent films in the promotion is the filmmaker satire The Best Movie Ever, starring Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas, which hit theaters last June. You can now find out for a bargain price whether it lives up to its title.

“Vegans taste better“: And for all friends of particularly black humor there is a bitter cannibal comedy from France. But beware: despite the high fun factor, things get pretty disgusting here. FSK 18!

In addition, the range also includes numerous other films from recent years, in all genres – from martial arts hits such as “Boyka – Undisputed IV” with Scott Adkins to the Oscar winner “Green Book” and the supernatural horror film “The Color from Space” with Nic Cage to erotic (“Queen”) and family film (“Tom & Jerry”).
