Paramount+ is available in Switzerland – 4 points for the new streaming service

In addition to Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and Sky, there is now a new streaming service provider in Switzerland: Paramount+. Everything you need to know about this can be found here at a glance.

A new streaming service provider has come to Switzerland. Paramount+ is now available in all German-speaking countries. Paramount+ has existed in the US since 2021.

You can read here which films and series Paramount+ offers and how much the streaming service costs in Switzerland.

Paramount has been one of the really big studios in the movie industry for decades. The offer will be correspondingly wide, especially in the field of films. For example, “Top Gun: Maverick”, the most successful film of the year, will be available from December.

Other international highlights on the provider are “Scream”, “Halo”, “Star Trek”, “Dexter” and “Yellowstone” and children’s series such as “Spongebob”, “Paw Patrol” or “iCarly”. The “Tulsa King” series starring Sylvester Stallone is also eagerly awaited, available in the US since mid-November.

Its biggest selling point, however, is the “Star Trek” universe. Paramount will have a number of series and films on offer here and will probably continue to expand its range. Just like Disney+ does with “Star Wars”.

Users can choose between a monthly and annual subscription. For the monthly subscription you pay 12 francs per month, the first seven days are free. With the annual subscription, a special promotion for CHF 90 in the first year runs until January 8. Anyone who takes out the subscription after that pays 120 francs per year (10 francs per month).

Movies such as Top Gun, produced by Paramount, are part of Sky’s offerings. These will remain available on Sky and will be part of the Sky Cinema offering in Switzerland, a Sky spokeswoman told Watson. The films will therefore be available to customers on both streaming services.

The offer is available in the browser and via the app on Android and iOS. An app for new Samsung TVs has also been announced. For game consoles such as the Playstation, there will be no app offer in the beginning.
