Uncut home cinema comeback: For a long time this FSK 18 stampede of violence (with Charlie Sheen!) was only available in cut form in Germany

One film, two disoriented youths full of bloodlust, three titles: In The Boys Next Door aka Blinder Hass aka Blind Rage, Charlie Sheen breaks out many years before his successful sitcom Two And A Half Men, and Maxwell Caulfield to Los Angeles. There they give in to their pleasure in violence by committing increasingly unscrupulous acts. In Germany, despite the FSK rating, the film was only released on VHS from the age of 18 and it was even banned in Sweden and Finland.

At the dawn of the DVD era, the coming-of-age thriller finally came out uncut. However, for a long time the DVD can only be found on the second-hand market. But that will soon come to an end: On November 18, 2022, “The Boys Next Door” will be released in two limited media books, namely uncut and from 18. Both editions will include the film on DVD and Blu-ray for the first time:
