Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen are unlikely to return for the thriller sequel Wind River: The Next Chapter. Instead, the focus is on the Martin Sensmeier embodied Chip Hanson. In the first part “Wind River” he can be seen as the brother of the murder victim at the center of the investigation, Nathalie, who is struggling with drug problems.
Years later, in the now highly unexpected and surprisingly announced sequel, he still lives on the Wind River Reservation. As a tracker, he left his dark past behind and found the right way. When a slew of brutal, ritualistic acts of murder takes place, the FBI turns to him for his help. Chip soon finds herself in a dangerous confrontation between the authorities, a vigilante who wants to find the culprit on his own, and the reservation that is his home.

Because the story of an unlikely duo who must investigate a murder in the snowy Wind River Reserve offers tension of the first order. This builds up slowly, but all the more intensively. And it all culminates in a hard-hitting finale. Definitely worth seeing!
