Surprise! Grogu supplies will likely be available on Disney+ next week – although “The Mandalorian” season 3 won’t start until 2023!

So right now it’s a bit wild with the start date leaking before the official announcements. This week, the start dates for the HBO series “The Last Of Us” (January 16, 2023 in Germany) and the third season of the “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian” (probably February 22, 2023) were leaked. And now we owe it again to the probably accidental publication of an appointment (the accompanying tweet was deleted again) that we Hoping for a cute little Baby Yoda surprise on the third anniversary of The Mandalorian’s launch – that’s November 12, 2022.

For this date, the Italian Disney+ has a short film titled “Star Wars Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies” announced. An observant user posted the screenshot of the tweet we were through the reliable fan portal attention to that.

On November 12, 2019, exactly three years earlier, the first season of “The Mandalorian” starring Pedro Pascal started in the US. So it doesn’t seem unlikely that the streaming service will release a small Grogu gift for all fans on this special date. But what could “Grogu and Dust Bunnies” be about?

The short film “Grogu and Dust Bunnies”

The title, something like “Grogu and Dust Mice/Wolf Mice”, gives hope for an adventure for the green rascal, where he ends up somewhere in the dust and then maybe even sneezes heartily. But there is a big BUT – namely the presented part of the short film title: “Star Wars Zen”.

It is reminiscent of a very specific format at Disney+: “Zenimation”. These are short meditation films in which scenes from popular Disney animated films are accompanied by relaxing music.

So is the streaming service just putting a “Star Wars” spin on these Zen shorts? But ‘Star Wars’ and meditation don’t quite mix. And while the titles of the “Zenimation” episodes like “Water”, “Nature”, “Serenity” and “Discovery” themselves almost sound a little meditative, we don’t find dust mice very soothing.

Maybe it will also be something in between: actually new, animated pictures of Grogu, how he has a little adventure, like for instance he caught (and yes, ate) frogs in “The Mandalorian”. And then accompanied by music. But we won’t know for sure until November 12, 2022, provided there’s some truth in the leak’s launch date, of course.
