“Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey” was one of THE surprise hits of the past cinema year. With a small budget of just $100,000, the horror film grossed almost $5 million at the box office. So it’s only natural that a sequel to “Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 2” was quickly made.
You don’t have to wait long until part 2 appears in German cinemas: On April 25, 2024, the residents of the Hundred Acre Wood will take up arms again and cause many atrocities on the big screen.
Part 2 should be really good!
Although ‘Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey’ was a hit at the box office, the film was not particularly impressive, to say the least. The reviews ranged from weak to devastating, almost across the board. Even in the official FILMSTARTS review, the horror festival of Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Co. only enough for 1 out of 5 possible stars.
But that doesn’t necessarily take away your interest in “Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 2” because if you take a look at the review collection page It turns out that part 2 is clearly much better than part 1! The share of positive reviews here currently stands at 89 percent. The first part only receives an extremely meager 3 percent. However, you have to classify this a bit:
There have been 62 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes so far for “Blood And Honey 1” and 9 reviews for the second part. That’s a clear difference, which makes the comparison a bit faltering, yes. However, 8 out of 9 reviews for Part 2 are positive – while only 2 out of 69 for Part 1 are. This means that “Blood And Honey 2” has already clearly overtaken its predecessor when it comes to positive reactions from the English-speaking trade press. But you can experience for yourself whether the film is really good at the end of April.
And that’s what “Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 2” is about
Once good friends, the animals of the Hundred Acre Wood only have one feeling for Christopher Robin (Scott Chambers): hate! He revealed their existence to the world and should suffer for it, because now their home is in danger. However, the angry residents don’t want to wait for the humans to invade their home and decide to bring death and destruction to the nearby town of Ashdown – and they won’t stop until they have exacted bloody revenge on their old companion.
