Okay, let’s be honest: you spot two special men fishing. Kazutoshi Wakakura, the producer of “The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift,” sits in the front of the recording. The man in the blue top behind him is the aforementioned Keiichi Tsuchiya. This is the legendary ‘Drift King’ of Japan, who became known for his unconventional drifting maneuvers (including during the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1996) and who made the sport of drifting surprisingly popular worldwide. His driving style made ‘Tokyo Drift’ possible.
So if you know who looks into the camera at 44 minutes and 49 seconds, then you have to say that those responsible for ‘Tokyo Drift’ have managed to create a very nice easter egg here. Here we pay tribute to the person who largely initiated the action thriller.
