There are also superfoods that are not only healthy but also put you in a good mood.

Today is “International Day of Happiness”. The latest World Happiness Report, published today on International Happiness Day, reveals that Scandinavia is home to the world’s happiest people for the seventh year in a row, with Finland coming out on top. Although Switzerland is still in the top 10, it has fallen in the rankings to 9th place, behind countries such as Denmark, Iceland, Sweden and Israel, and ahead of Australia.

Can you influence “being happy”?

The little helpers of the body’s happiness system are the happiness hormone serotonin and endorphins, which relieve pain and increase pleasure. The idea behind this is that food not only fills you up but also soothes your soul. Good mood foods can really do a lot: they make you happy, they taste great, and they’re healthy. Fast food and industrially produced foods are often nutritionally poor and unhealthy. They promote fatigue, weakness and weariness. Obesity and difficulty concentrating are other negative effects. With the right foods, you will not only eat healthier, but also be happier.

The focus is on a balanced and nutrient-rich diet. The numerous bacteria in the intestinal flora ensure the proper functioning of the body. If we eat too much fast food, the bacteria become unbalanced. Inflammation, depression, and even psychological disorders may occur.

Of course, you don’t need to give up fries and pizza completely, the intestinal flora can forgive minor sins. It always depends on the weight. You should mostly eat foods that contain plenty of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Amino acids and omega-3 fatty acids are also included. It protects against free radicals and supports the transmission of serotonin, dopamine or endorphins. In short, all together it provides a feeling of happiness and increases performance.

9 foods that make you happy

Your menu should include whole grain products, fruits and nuts, as well as fish and fresh seafood. It’s best to prepare everything with rapeseed oil. In this way, inflammation, heart diseases and diabetes can be prevented. Use or combine foods with legumes; These are good for the body and mind.

one

Banana

In the fruit category, bananas clearly stand out. Bananas are sweet and versatile. It is not without reason that they are one of the most popular types of fruit. The high rate of vitamin B6 reduces fatigue. The high amount of tryptophan in bananas stimulates the production of the happiness hormone in the brain.

Asparagus

We look forward to asparagus in the spring. Fresh vegetables are full of B vitamins. This vitamin is important for the nervous system. Asparagus also contains nutrients such as vitamins A, C, K, folic acid and potassium. Manganese and copper provide the feeling of happiness and positive emotions.

3

Avocado

Avocados are super healthy too. Fruits are rich in healthy fats. Tryptophan, vitamin B6 and plenty of folic acid can be converted into serotonin by the body. A good mood is practically programmed. Paper pulp can be molded into forms in a wonderful way. To do this, the soft interior is crushed with a fork into a soft mass and seasoned with finely chopped onion, pepper and salt.

4

Rice and Brazil nuts

Brown rice and Brazil nuts contain plenty of selenium and magnesium. These vitamins are effective against stress, depression and fatigue.

5

Walnut

Walnuts taste great and are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. They support brain function and can counteract depression. Delicious and nutritious, walnuts are true nerve food.

randen

Beets are also one of the classic happy foods. The folic acid it contains helps reduce depression. Fatigue and insomnia may be signs of folic acid deficiency. Betanin in beets is responsible for the reddish color and stimulates the production of serotonin in the body.

7

flaxseed

Refine your muesli or yoghurt with flaxseed. Flaxseeds are truly versatile and rich in lignans. They have a hormone balancing effect and promote digestion. Omega-3 fatty acids in flaxseeds have a positive effect on the body and mind.

8.

onions

Nothing works without onions. Whether it’s sauces, salads or meat dishes, these vegetables add a special touch to any feel-good meal. Onions help with gastrointestinal diseases and improve mood.

9

Apricot

Apricots also have something special. Whether fresh or dried, they evoke feelings of happiness. The amino acid tryptophan is responsible for this. The happiness hormone is converted into serotonin in the body. Fatigue, exhaustion and moodiness decrease. Converted vitamin B3 helps with sleep disorders, loss of appetite and concentration problems.
