Last year “Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey” caused a stir. The low-budget horror focuses on the childhood memories of its viewers through Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Co. to unleash a massacre in the Hundred Acre Wood. A sequel has already been released with “Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 2”.
But that’s not nearly enough. In the future, other Disney heroes and fairytale characters will be allowed to get up to their bloody mischief. “Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare,” “Bambi: The Reckoning” and “Cinderella’s Curse” have already been confirmed. As has now been announced, all these films will be part of a universe called “Poohniverse: Collecting Monsters“ should reach its great climax.
Winnie the Pooh, Pinocchio and Co. go hunting together
The film, which, like the “Winnie the Pooh” films, will probably also be directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, is all about those childhood heroes who now get up to mischief like monsters. They join forces to eventually kill all the survivors from the previous films. In addition to Winnie the Pooh, Bambi, Tinkerbell, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Tigger, Cinderella, Owl, Rabbit, Piglet and the Hatter from “Alice in Wonderland” will participate.
As it is reported, the fairy-tale characters not only have to hunt people, but also compete with each other. This means that ‘Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble’ will not only move in the direction of ‘Avengers’, but may also be based on films like ‘Freddy Vs. Jason’ or ‘Godzilla Vs Kong’. Scott Chambers will also return as Christopher Robin, while Megan Placito will star as Wendy, Roxanne Mckee as Xana and Lewis Santer as Tigger. It is not yet known when the film will be released.
