Karol G reviews his successes in Santo Domingo

Colombian artist Karol G reflected on her achievements this Friday night in front of a dedicated audience at the first of her two concerts in the Dominican capital, where sound and lights shared the spotlight.

With semi-sheer mesh with rhinestones, fur boots and long pink hair, Karol G jumped to the stage to the delight of around 50,000 followers who filled the city’s Olympic Stadium, mostly young people, especially girls who wore wigs in the colors that the urban singer usually wears and Colombian hats.

More than two hours and accompanied by her female band and the mixed dance group ‘La Bichota’ performed hits such as ‘Tusa’, ‘X si volvemos’, ‘Gatúbela’ or ‘TQG’, the latter song which was awarded the best urban song at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards.

His performance in Santo Domingo, as part of his tour ‘Tomorrow will be beautiful’ (the same name as his successful work), was distinguished by a very good sound and a play of light of intense colors (from red to fuchsia, from blue to green), with beams that flooded the sky of the capital.

Karol G winked at her several times Dominican followers and dressed in a skirt and top with the colors of the Caribbean country’s flag, the audience who chanted every song the singer presented on a large stage set up for the occasion with giant screens that took a week to get up.

You couldn’t miss songs like ‘Bitterness’ or ‘Qlona’ at the presentation in Santo Domingo, where about 100,000 people will gather for two nights.

At the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards held in the Spanish city of SevilleKarol G won three awards: best urban song for ‘TQG’, best album of the year and best urban album for ‘Mañana will be nice’.

The success of ‘Tomorrow will be beautiful’ repeated this February at the 66th Grammy Awardswinning the award for best urban music album, making her the first woman to win in this category.

And this same month, Karol G received the award for Woman of the Year at the Billboard Women in Music Awards.
