Domaine de Canadel: George Clooney will soon hit the road with his own rose

Hollywood actor George Clooney (62) follows in the footsteps of oenology. According to French magazine Var-Matin, Clooney plans to enter the wine world with his own rosé. The wine’s grapes come from the picturesque Domaine de Canadel estate in southern France, which Clooney bought with his wife Amal, 46, in 2021.

The property was previously owned by an Australian couple from Monaco who had been trying to sell it for several years. The generous grounds include, among other things, several hectares of vineyards, a lake, olive groves and luxury amenities such as a swimming pool and tennis courts, making Domaine de Canadel the perfect retreat.

Clooney wine to be released soon

The 2023 vintage is expected to produce the first rosé under Clooney’s stewardship. But Clooney isn’t alone with his own southern French rosé. Brad Pitt (60) with Château Miraval and rock legend Jon Bon Jovi (62) with Hampton Water had already poured a pro-French rosé into the bottle.

Clooney is reportedly actively involved in the production process, including blending different wines to achieve the perfect taste. Exactly when and under what name Clooney Rose will be available remains a mystery. Until then we can eagerly await the emergence of this new rose. Maybe next summer?
