Puerto Rican rapper Residente announced his new tour ‘The letters no longer important’, under the same name as his new album.
This tour will begin September 14 in Barcelona (Spain), and will culminate on December 7 in San Juan (Puerto Rico).
Returning shows will include cities Madrid, New York, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, Lima, Bogotá, Quito, Mexico City, Tegucigalpa, Guatemala City and San Salvador, according to a statement sent by the artists’ representatives.
The album ‘Las Letras Ya No Importan’, the second of Resident as a solo artisthas 23 songs and a number of guest singers.
Among them are Penélope Cruz, Ricky Martin, Busta Rhymes, Vico C, Big Daddy KaneRauw Alejandro, Christian Nodal, Arcángel, Jessie Reyez, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Ibeyi, WOS, Nino Freestyle, Amal Murkus, SFDK and AI2 El Aldeano.
The album includes several music videos that Residente himself directed and starred in, including ‘This Is Not America’, ‘René’, ‘Quero ser baladista’ with Ricky Martin, ‘Problema Cabrón’ with WOS, ‘Ron En El Piso ‘ and his latest, ‘313’ with Penélope Cruz and Silvia Pérez Cruz.
The album, in turn, debuted at number two on Spotify’s “Top Global Debut Albums” chart upon release, and was recently certified gold in Mexico for its sales.
Residente’s first solo album, the eponym of his stage name, was released in 2017.
