Although streaming providers have come many steps further since ‘Dark’, large-scale German genre material is still rather neglected on conventional television. It’s all the better when a work like this finally sees the light of day on screens – and in prime time on the main evening program, as is the case with “Reset – How far do you want to go?”.
The six-part miniseries starts today, March 11, 2024, on ZDF. Two episodes can be seen in succession from 8:15 PM, the remaining episodes are available simultaneously on March 13 and 14. This means you don’t have to wait long to watch the entire series on TV.

This is “Reset”
First and foremost is “Reset‘ is still more of a family drama, but it has a sci-fi component that really gets the plot moving and is a bit reminiscent of the Ashton Kutcher cult ‘Butterfly Effect’. The focus is on presenter Flo (Katja Riemann), whose teenage daughter Luna (Hannah Schiller) commits suicide one day.
Flo is stunned, but unexpectedly gets the chance to change everything for the better. A mysterious agency lets her travel back in time to prevent her daughter’s death. But that’s not enough for Flo. She increasingly questions her previous life and changes more and more previous decisions to give herself and her children a supposedly happier life. But that is not without consequences…
