Horror tip with FSK 18: New splash grenade from the makers of ‘Turbo Kid’ comes to home cinema in its entirety

After coming together again and again since the 2000s, initially just to make short films, one day François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell finally got the chance to make one of them their first feature film. And so, in 2015, ‘T Is For Turbo’ eventually became ‘Turbo Kid’ – an apocalyptic adventure that was celebrated at several film festivals, received numerous awards and offered a glimpse into an exciting future for the directing trio. Now that future reveals a new potential highlight.

Five years after their last film together – “Summer of ’84”, which is based on small-town adventures such as “Stranger Things”, “Stand By Me” or “ET” – the trio’s latest work is now released: After “We are zombieswas already shown at the Fantasy Filmfest in 2023, the zombie splatter fireworks will finally be released for home cinema on May 16. Distributor Capelight Pictures is celebrating the home theater release with a Limited Collector’s Edition including Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray – in which the film includes Dolby Vision and HDR10 and is delivered in an elegant media booklet including booklet. Standard versions of the individual media may follow at a later date, but further details are not yet known. Of course you can also purchase the film directly at the Capelight Pictures store*.
