After four seasons, the mystery hit “Manifest” has ended and not only were the adventures of the passengers on Flight 828 dramatic, the story of the series itself also increased the pulse of fans, as there was a threat of cancellation after season 3 – with a open end! However, Netflix saved the series, which had previously aired on NBC, and gave it a wrap. After the fourth season with a total of 20 episodes (season 4.1 + season 4.2) it would be final; there will be no season 5 of “Manifest”.

Stephen King repeatedly expressed his enthusiasm for ‘Manifesto’ on Twitter. The novel for our first series tip was written by King himself. Also in “Under the dome“People become comrades in fate in a confined space – not in an airplane, but in a small town. Above it, a transparent, impenetrable dome appears out of nowhere. As people inside and outside the dome try to figure out what the mystery is about, tensions quickly rise inside.

“Sense8” from the makers of “Matrix”.
“Everything is connected” – the motto from “Manifesto” applies in a similar way “Sentence8” to. Here, complete strangers from different parts of the world suddenly realize that they are mentally connected. However, they soon become hunted for their extraordinary abilities. The mystery series is the work of ‘Matrix’ creators Lana and Lilly Wachowski and was unfortunately canceled after two seasons, but was subsequently given a feature film conclusion.
The two seasons of “Sense8” and the feature-length finale (added to season 2 as episode 12) are available on Netflix.
“The Leftovers”: mystery meets philosophy
Get out your tissues and prepare to be lost in thought. “The leftovers“ by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta is not a series that you can just put down, but precisely because it raises many profound questions it is simply very good – and is one of the authors of this article’s favorite series. From one second to the next, two percent of the world’s population disappears without a trace. Those left behind (e.g. the fantastic Carrie Coon) are looking for answers. Music fans take note: Max Richter’s Goosebumps score is simply amazing.

“The OA”: Supernatural with “Harry Potter” star
It is It’s really a shame that the Netflix seriesThe OA” was canceled after just two seasons. Since you haven’t seen such creative material in a long time, and unfortunately, fans are left with a nasty cliffhanger. But I can tell you: it is still worth it to go on a journey with the main character Prairie (Brit Marling). She disappeared as a little blind girl and returns years later as a young woman – who can see. But that’s not the only change in her, and only a few outsiders can understand what happened to her. A mysterious doctor (Jason Isaacs, Lucius Malfoy from ‘Harry Potter’) also has something to do with it.

“Lost”: The class leader with a controversial ending
Our series tips would be without “Lost“Of course not completely. Many mystery fans probably saw the series on ProSieben at the time – but those who are a little younger may only know the show by JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof from hearsay. So it’s high time to catch up on this oft-quoted cult series, which spawned more fan theories on the internet in the 2000s than ever before. Even though the finale divides the fan community, the series about Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly) and Co., who are stranded on a desert island, is worth watching.
