In the night from Sunday to Monday it will be ‘And the Oscar goes to…’ for the 96th time – when the Barbenheimer duel between ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ enters the next round, but also films such as ‘The Zone Of Interest’ “ and “Poor Things” should have a say. The Golden Raspberry, colloquially known as the anti-Oscar, has long been part of the preliminary chatter that sets the tone for the presentation of the world’s most important film award.
This year’s cast included Vin Diesel (for “Fast & Furious 10”), Helen Mirren (for “Shazam! Fury Of The Gods”), Ana de Armas (for “Ghosted”) and Russell Crowe (for “The Pope’s Exorcist”) “) among the prominent nominees, as well as films such as “The Exorcist: Confession” and “Meg 2: The Deep”. The winners – if you can even call them that in this case – are different:
These are the winners of the Golden Raspberry 2024
The big winner this year is the low-budget horror film ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey“, which was awarded the Golden Raspberry no less than five times – in the categories worst film, worst director, worst sequel/rip-off/remake, worst screenplay and worst duo (Pooh and Piglet). In the end, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield probably won’t care: he caused quite a stir with his shocker, which he produced for little money, scored a real hit and is already working on a sequel. Five Golden Raspberries complete it, so to speak. Because as we know, there is no such thing as bad advertising.
“The replacements 4“was awarded two Golden Raspberries – with a total of seven (!) nominations. Franchise mastermind Sylvester Stallone was named Worst Supporting Actress, Megan Fox was voted Worst Supporting Actress – and not only that:
Megan Fox even received an award twice! She also won the award in the best actress category for her performance in the direct-to-video actioner “Johnny & Clyde.” Oscar winner Jon Voight won as worst actor (in ‘Mercy’).
