Panamanians will participate in international festivals

Nine young people from Isthmus are preparing to participate in various international festivals.

The Sinfonía Concertante Foundation of Panama (FUNSINCOPA), in collaboration with Sound Impact, has announced that nine of its scholarship recipients will participate in prominent academic music festivals thanks to cultural exchange program.

This program made it possible for the talented young Panamanians to attend music festivals in the United States on full scholarships, chosen not only for their musical excellence, but also for their commitment to positively impacting their communities.

Isaac Casal, FUNSINCOPA’s music director, said yes exemplary cooperation shows a positive effect and permanent can be achieved through art, music and commitment to the development of national talent. In addition, he congratulated the young talents on their commitment and successes.

Since the beginning of their partnership in 2020, Sound Impact and FUNSINCOPA have worked tirelessly to enrich the Panamanian music scene, Casal explained.

Among this year’s outstanding scholarship recipients are:

Angel Berenguer, Music festival in Miami. Play the flute.

– Ensley Castillo, Miami Music Festival. Play the tuba.

– Angelyt Escorcia, Miami Music Festival. He plays the clarinet.

– Javier Griffith, Miami Music Festival. He plays the French horn.

– Yin Hay Ko, Eastern Music Festival. He plays the violin.

– Rubén Nieto, Eastern Music Festival. He plays the oboe.

– Artemisia Olave Carrillo, National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute. He plays the violin.

– Dylan Pineda, Miami Music Festival. Play percussion.

– Joel Vargas Saldaña, National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute. He plays double bass.
