“Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire“will be released in German cinemas on April 4, 2024 – and brings back not only a variety of characters from the MonsterVerse, but also a director for the first time. Following Gareth Edwards (“Godzilla”), Jordan Vogt-Roberts (“Kong: Skull Island”) and Michael Dougherty (“Godzilla: King Of The Monsters”), “Godzilla Vs. Kong” creator Adam Wingard becomes the first filmmaker to have the honor of staging two chapters of the fantasy franchise. And in addition to the comeback of well-known characters, we are of course also introducing new ones.

“The New Empire” is now the fifth film from the MonsterVerse, which was recently expanded into a series for the first time – with “Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters” (available exclusively on Apple TV+). But above all, the film will have to compete with the Japanese competition:
