Canadian musician Nelly Furtado and British rapper Stormzy will play at the 2024 Gurtenfestival. This year’s line-up also includes Michael Kiwanuka, Amaarae and Sofi Tukker, organizers announced on Thursday.
The main act on Saturday evening at the 41st Gurten Festival is Nelly Furtado. Last year, after a long break, the Canadian released a new single with singer Justin Timberlake and producer Timbaland. Her last album was released in 2017.
Londoner Stormzy – one of the most important personalities of his generation according to the British ‘Times’ – will play the main stage on Bern’s home mountain on the first day of the festival.
Other figureheads at this year’s edition are Patent Ochsner, Peter Fox, Burna Boy, Justice, Giant Rooks and Faber.
With the publication published on Thursday, the line-up is almost complete, the organizing team wrote. A total of around 60 bands will play over four festival days on the main stage, the tent stage and the forest stage.
This year’s Gurten Festival will take place from July 17 to 20, 2024. Rock the Hill, Thursday/Friday and Friday/Saturday passes are sold out. Tickets are still available for the other categories. (sda/lyn)
