Viral disaster event surrounding fantasy hit “Wonka” becomes a horror movie

An unlicensed event based on Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ was held in Glasgow on the last weekend of February, capitalizing on the current hype surrounding Paul King’s film adaptation ‘Wonka’ starring the star ‘ Dune: Part Two’. ‘Wonka’ horror should be released in late 2024 – with a Marvel star?

The film should revolve around a famous illustrator and his wife, who are haunted by the tragic death of their son Charlie. To escape their grief, the couple leaves their everyday lives behind and moves to the uninhabited Scottish Highlands. There, however, they are confronted with an unknown horror. Production on the horror film should start as soon as possible so that it can be released at the end of 2024.

The ‘unknown horror’ is based on the script of the Glasgow event, which Willy Wonka actor Paul Connell subsequently described in an apology video as ’15 pages of AI-generated gibberish’. It introduced a character called “The Unknown” who lives within the walls of the chocolate factory as a former chocolatier. Videos of the event showed the figure wrapped in a black cloak and wearing a mirrored mask.

“Guardians Of The Galaxy” star Karen Gillian left a few days ago (earlier ) announced that she would like to star in a film about the disastrous event. How serious she was with her statement and whether she will actually be cast by Kaledonia Pictures remains to be seen…
