Kaitlyn Dever, probably the most important new addition to the second season of ‘The Last Of Us’, was officially announced earlier this year. The “Booksmart” star will embody the tough Abby, who really gets the action going in the video game “The Last Of Us Part II” and becomes the new opponent for Ellie (Bella Ramsey) – while you as the player are also in Abby gets under her skin and learns more and more about her and her motivations.
And as a press release from the local Sky shows of the “Last Of Us” series, Now actresses have been found for Abby’s closest confidantes who will support her in a campaign of revenge:
- Danny Ramirez (“Top Gun: Maverick”) plays Private Manny.
- Ariela Barer (“Marvel’s The Runaways”) plays the young doctor Mel.
- Tati Gabrielle (“You – You Will Love Me”) plays military medic Nora.
- Spencer Lord (“Riverdale”) plays the warrior Owen.
All four are – just like Abby – former members of the Fireflys known from the first season of ‘The Last Of Us’, but have now joined the militant Washington Liberation Front.
Ellie’s new opponents
As Abby’s allies, Manny, Mel, Nora and Owen are also targeted by Ellie, leading to several confrontations in the video game based on it. There’s a lot of potential for particularly violent scenes in the series adaptation. However, it remains to be seen if we will see them in the second season.
After the first ‘Last Of Us’ season covered the entire plot of the first video game part, the story of the much more extensive successor ‘The Last Of Us Part II’ will be divided into (at least) two seasons. It is not yet known what exactly this distribution will look like.

What is certain is that the second season of “The Last Of Us” no longer in 2024, but only in 2025 on HBO or in this country again on Sky and WOW will start. In addition to Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Pedro Pascal as Joel and Gabriel Luna as Tommy also return.
Aside from the new additions to the cast mentioned above are Isabela Merced (“Madame Web”) and Young Mazino (“Beef”) as Ellie’s friends Dina and Jessie, as well as “Schitt’s Creek” and “Home Alone” stars Catherine O’. Hara in an as yet unknown guest role.
