Since her memorable performance as Cassie Howard in the critically acclaimed HBO series “Euphoria,” Sydney Sweeney (“Reality”) has been one of the biggest shooting stars of our time. Most recently, the 26-year-old actress managed to score a real hit on the big screen with the romantic comedy ‘Where the Lie Falls’. You won’t have to wait long to see Sweeney on the big screen next.
After the comedy adaptation ‘Madame Web’, which launched in mid-February, failed rigorously at the box office, ‘Immaculate’ will be released in German cinemas on April 4. It is a horror film in which Sydney Sweeney is confronted with many dark secrets in a renowned Italian monastery. In the latest issue of Total Film (via GameRadar) revealed:
Sydney Sweeney unleashed like never before?
“In our film, terror is something very real, deep, personal and raw. The last two minutes of the film are the craziest performance Sydney Sweeney has ever given. It fully establishes her in the pantheon of scream queens. Doubtless.”
This definitely creates a lot of anticipation to see what Sydney Sweeney will reveal at the end of Immaculate. From the synopsis alone, you can tell that it’s definitely going to be pretty heavy. The dark secrets that Sweeney experiences as the young nun Cecilia revolve around the fact that she has become part of an immaculate conception.
Sydney Sweeney already worked with director Michael Mohan on the erotic thriller ‘The Voyeurs’, which you can stream on Amazon Prime Video. On camera, Sweeney also meets an old friend, Simona Tabasco, as both were part of the first season of “The White Lotus.” The “Immaculate” ensemble also includes Alvaro Morte (“House of Money”), Dora Romano (“The Hand of God”) and Benedetta Porcaroli (“18 Gifts”).
