J-Hope from BTS releases ‘Hope on the street No. 1’

J-Hope, one of the members of the successful South Korean band BTS, announced today ‘Hope on the street No. 1’, a solo EP that looks at his beginnings as an urban dance artist.

In six cuts on album Other artists from Big Hit, the agency that represents BTS, have also collaborated, such as Huh Yun-jin from the girl group Le Sserafim or Jungkook, his partner in the most popular septet in the history of South Korea.

Among the topics of “Hope on Street No. 1” highlights “Neuron”, which is named after an urban dance group that J-Hope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, belonged to in his hometown of Gwangju (southwest of the country) before joining BTS in 2013.

They took part in ‘Neuron’, which is reminiscent of hip-hop from the early 2000s Gaeko and Yoonmirae of Dynamic duo.

The song in which he collaborates with Jungkook It’s called ‘I Wonder…’ and has more electro-funk touches.

The EP also includes a remix ‘What If…’, a song included in ‘Jack in the box’, his debut solo album released in 2022.

The launch of this new the work coincides with the prime ministera day earlier, the first episode of the documentary of the same name in which J-Hope travels to Osaka (Japan), Paris, New York and Gwangju to reconnect with urban dance.

The seven members of BTS announced last year that they would be taking a break to serve their military service with the goal of reuniting in 2025.
