Oscar winner and exceptional talent Guillermo del Toro (“Shape Of Water”, “Pan’s Labyrinth”) has put together a real heart project with “Cabinet Of Curiosities”. For the horror anthology series, he brings together several well-known genre experts who, as directors, each contributed a self-contained horror story to the project with their own cast, which is briefly introduced by del Toro himself.
Now the highly anticipated Netflix production has finally started on the streaming service. However, there are only two episodes available initially. But we can reassure anyone who is afraid that it is. All fans of the long-running zombie hit “The Walking Dead” who have been looking forward to a new horror series from “Rick Grimes” Andrew Lincoln will have to wait until Friday of this week. His episode “The Noise” (original title: “The Murmuring”), which is based on a story by Guillermo del Toro personally, is the big season finale of “Cabinet Of Curiosities”.
But the other episodes also star F. Murray Abraham (“Amadeus”), Peter Weller (“RoboCop”), Dan Stevens (“Legion”), Ben Barnes (“Shadow And Bone”), Rupert Grint (“Harry Potter”) and Sofia Boutella (“The Mummy”) very well known.
