Filming for “Superman: Legacy” to start, that’s what we rehearse for. An integral part of these preparations is often the so-called ‘table read’, where those involved come together to read the entire script together – with everyone already in his or her role. This is how the huge cast of ‘Superman: Legacy’ came together, which director James Gunn immediately used for a group selfie.
Of course, Nicholas Hoult especially stands out in the photos now published on Instagram. The “Renfield” star, placed back in the middle, is already bald. As is known, he plays the Superman antagonist Lex Luthor – and the lack of hair is a trademark of the villain.

By the way, Milly Alcock was not present at the table, so she is clearly missing from the photo. The “House Of The Dragon” actress was recently confirmed as the new Supergirl. Even though she only makes her big appearance with her own movie, ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’, she is already expected to appear in ‘Superman: Legacy’.
James Gunn’s new Superman film aims to usher in the new era at DC: the DCU – a finally coherent and fully planned universe with complementary and expansive stories. theatrical release of “Superman: Legacy“is on July 10, 2025.
