“Linkin Park” wants to release the new song “Friendly Fire” together with Chester Bennington

“Linkin Park” will release a new song that will also feature singer Chester Bennington – seven years after his death.

The band Linkin Park announced on Instagram that they would be releasing a new song called “Friendly Fire.” The track was created in 2017 during work on ‘One More Light’, the band’s latest album. However, it was never published.

The band now wants to change that. She shared a snippet of the song on Instagram, which also features the voice of Chester Bennington, who passed away in 2017. The following lines from the teaser are probably the chorus:

Although Linkin Park has not toured or released new songs since the death of singer Bennington, it has not been completely quiet around the band. Last year, other unreleased songs featuring Bennington were shared with fans: “Lost” and “Fighting Myself.” Both songs come from the album “Meteora” (2003).

The band itself did not say when the song would be released in their Instagram post, but according to the online magazine ‘More Core’, fans can expect the new single this Friday, February 23, 2024. (hkl)
