The main prize in the lottery is cancelled: the jackpot rises to 48 million

No one won the 43.5 million franc jackpot in the Swiss Lotto on Saturday. For the next draw, this will rise to 48 million francs. This brings the record amount paid out to date within reach.

This amounted to around 48.6 million francs and dates from 2014. However, the highest jackpot in the Swiss Lotto is still far away. By December 2016, 70 million francs had been collected.

With the numbers 17, 20, 32, 35, 36, 42 and the lucky number 2, there was not even a new lottery millionaire with six correct numbers, Swisslos announced on Saturday evening. The highest winning amount was 8,084.10 francs for five correct numbers and the lucky number. 26 people guessed correctly five times.

Swisslos previously assumed that around 750,000 people would try their luck during the Saturday draw. The odds of winning the top prize in the Swiss Lotto are 1 in 31 million. (sda)
