After 18 years of relationship: Dieter Bohlen is getting married for the third time

In 2006, Dieter Bohlen and Carina Walz met in a club in Mallorca. Since then, the Modern Talking star and his partner, thirty years his junior, have been living together; during the course of their relationship they had a daughter and a son. The musician has now announced that the next milestone will come in the near future.

“Carina and I are getting married,” the DSDS jury member announced to “Bild”. “There is a fixed date – since the first day of our relationship. I told her a specific year and said, “If we are still together, I will trust you and marry you,” said the pop titan, who turns 70 in a few days. The invitations have not yet been printed, “but that date is coming.”

However, one important point still needs to be checked off before the wedding can take place. “You have to make me a real proposal again so I can marry you,” Carina Walz intervened.

For Dieter Bohlen it wouldn’t be the first marriage – but ideally it would be the last: “I’m a burnt child when it comes to marriage and I definitely don’t want to ruin another marriage. It would then be the third marriage, and that must last until the end of your life.” He said yes for the first time to Erika Sauerland in 1983. The relationship ended in 1989. He married for the second time in 1996. The marriage to Verona Pooth, then still Feldbusch, lasted only a month.

However, Dieter Bohlen seems to have no doubts about his current partner. ‘I am absolutely sure about Carina. For me, the world would collapse if we were no longer together. I’m completely honest.”
