Dion talks about his neurological disease in the documentary

Canadian singer Céline Dion has decided to speak in depth for the first time about the neurological disease she suffers from in a documentary that will be broadcast on Prime Video and with which she wants to raise awareness about this condition.

Celine Dion announced on its website that Prime Video, Amazon’s video service, has acquired the broadcast rights “I’m: Céline Dion.”

He directed this documentary directed by Irene Taylor and it reflected his life since learning he was suffering from a neurological disease that caused him to lose control of his muscles.

The singer (55) said ua rid that “the last two years have been a great challenge.

This one challenge she goes from being diagnosed with Rigid Person Syndrome (RPS) to learning “how to live and manage it,” all without letting the disease define her.

“As I continue my journey back to my artistic career, I’ve realized how much I miss it, as well as being able to see my fans,” he added.

He also said: “During this absence, I decided that I wanted to document this part of my life to try to raise awareness of this almost unknown condition, to help others who share this diagnosis.”

Artist, winner of two Oscars and several Grammys and the author of hits such as “My heart will go on” or “I’m alive”, In October 2021, she revealed she was suffering from Stiff Person Syndrome, which affects the nervous system and causes muscle spasms, forcing her to leave the stage.

In December of last year, the artist’s sister Claudette Dion said that she “has no control over her muscles”, which has affected her vocal cords and prevents her from singing as well as in the past.
