Giant 85-inch 4K TV absurdly cheap at Amazon: this Dolby Vision monster costs just under 1,000 euros

The Hisense A6EG is particularly impressive due to its size. 85 inches corresponds to a screen diagonal of 2.16 meters. It is better to measure again to see whether the 4K TV actually fits on your wall.

Amazon currently has the Monster TV on sale at a 17 percent discount. You pay after the deduction only 989.99 euros including shipping costs for the 85-inch model. The giant has never been cheaper. However, the offer is limited. Amazon does not provide information about when the deal will end.

Hisense A6EG: Here’s what the price-performance monster can do

Of course, the dimensions of the Hisense A6EG are the first thing you notice. According to the price comparison portal Geizhals.de there are currently no cheaper 4K TV with 85 inches. Despite the low price, the A6EG has some features on board that not all televisions offer.

The gigantic supports, for example both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ as HDR formats. Samsung, LG and Sony each offer only one HDR format. Hisense is ahead of the competition here. The giant also has a strong display with high contrast and a decent display Scaling function. This upscales Full HD and even lower resolution content to 4K.

Also suitable as a gaming TV

The Smart TV menu VIDAA U5 supports all common streaming services without any problems. In addition, the Hisense A6EG is suitable as a gaming TV thanks to ALLM. It automatically switches to the lowest latency mode to enable smooth gaming.

That the Hisense TV is priced clearly ahead of the competition is mainly due to the low maximum brightness. As a result, HDR effects are not as brilliant as on brighter 4K TVs. Moreover, the A6EG ‘only’ offers a refresh rate of 60 Hz. As long as you don’t use the giant to play with your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, this shortcoming is rather negligible.

If you don’t expect miracles, you should be completely satisfied with the Hisense A6EG. For the low price, the 85-incher is certainly an option for anyone who really wants one large and affordable at the same time Looking for a TV for your home theater.

Smaller but nicer: the Philips OLED 708

The Philips TV also supports the two HDR formats HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, but also offers considerably more than the Hisense TV. The OLED display has excellent image quality 120 Hz for fast gaming on the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series And the sound is also considerably better than the Hisense A6EG.
