The Color Purple, Dina and other films for 2024

Film and entertainment studio Warner Bros. shared his first films for 2024, including: The Color Purple, Dune: Part Two, Godzilla and Kong, The New Empire; and Furiosa, in the Mad Max Saga.

Purple color – Yesin theaters on February 8

It is about the extraordinary sisterhood of three women who share an unbreakable bond. This bold new take on a beloved classic is directed by Blitz Bazawule, a multimedia artist whose first notable feature film was the acclaimed “The Burial of Kojo”. The main producers of the film are Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Scott Sanders and Quincy Jones.

Dina: The second part – February 29, only in cinemas

The saga continues as award-winning director Denis Villeneuve embarks on “Dune: Part Two,” the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s acclaimed novel, Dune, with an expanded international all-star cast. Film studio Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures is the long-awaited 2021 sequel to the six-time Oscar winner “The Dune.”

Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire – March 28, in theaters only

Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth star in Furiosa, the brainchild of Academy Award winner George Miller, a long-awaited return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 30 years ago with the seminal Mad Max films. Now Miller is turning the page again with a new, original, stand-alone action adventure that will reveal the origins of the powerful character from the multi-Oscar-winning global hit, Mad Max: Fury Road. The new film from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures were produced by Miller and his longtime partner, Oscar-nominated producer Doug Mitchell (Mad Max: Fury Road, Babe), under their Australia-based company Kennedy Miller Mitchell.

As the world falls, young Furiosa is kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Horde of bikers led by Warlord Dementus. Navigating the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel ruled by Immortal Joe. As two tyrants battle for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials while gathering resources to find her way home.

Taylor-Joy plays the lead role, and alongside Hemsworth, the film also stars Alyla Browne and Tom Burke.
