“Abigail” is a modernized adaptation of the 1936 classic “Dracula’s Daughter”. Although there are no longer many similarities in terms of content. Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett’s film centers on a group of would-be criminals who kidnap the 12-year-old daughter (Kathryn Newton) of a powerful underworld figure to a remote mansion for a $50 million ransom to collect U.S. dollars. All they have to do is take care of the girl for one night. But as it soon becomes apparent, this is anything but normal.
Is Dracula involved too?
