While Robert Pattinson (“The Batman”) is one of the most exciting actors of his generation, Bong Joon-Ho can be celebrated as an absolutely exceptional director since his Oscar triumph with “Parasite.” Expectations for “Mickey 17”, the first collaboration between the two artists, are therefore high. However, we have now received news that the sci-fi adventure’s theatrical release has been postponed.
Originally, “Mickey 17” was scheduled to come to German cinemas on March 28, 2024. But Warner Bros. has now removed this date from the release calendar. The space in the studio’s program is occupied by the monster spectacle “Godzilla Germany). The most important thing is: of course, “Mickey 17” will still be on the big screen.
Cinema release in the summer?
Jordan Ruimy reported in October 2023 , that “Mickey 17” will likely be postponed until the summer of 2024. This speculation appears to be coming true. Like Ruimy now reported, his sources continue to confirm that the new adaptation is scheduled to begin in the summer. A more precise date was not given. Whether this will actually be the case remains to be seen. Nothing official is known about this yet.
