In the second week of January, more films and series will be available to Netflix subscribers with a colorful genre mix from sci-fi, mystery and comedy to westerns and action. The highlight is Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood’s latest joke, ‘Cry Macho’, in which the director and actor once again plays the tough guy in a cowboy hat. But of course that wasn’t all. Here are the Netflix highlights for the week of January 8-14, 2024:
Monday: Star-studded sci-fi cult
The week starts with a cult film that turned science fiction films upside down in the year 2000. We’re talking about Dean Parisot’s parody ‘Galaxy Quest’, in which Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver are abducted by aliens to save their beloved planet. What the aliens don’t know, however, is that the two are merely actors in a science fiction TV show and have only limited skills in fighting aliens. Tuesday: Coming-of-age essentials from Italy
It continues with a coming-of-age series from Italy, which begins its third season on Tuesday.
