The single ‘TQG’, by Colombian Shakira and Karol G, tops the list of former US President Barack Obama’s favorite songs in 2023, which also includes ‘La Bebe’, by Mexicans Yng Lucas and Pes Pluma.
The former president (2009-2017) announced on his social networks this Friday which songs were his favorite during this year that is coming to an end, and they are contained in a list of 28 songs that reflect, as in previous years, the diverse taste that don’t avoid pop and urban rhythms that coexist with country music and R&B in this selection.
The list opens ‘TQG’from Shakira and Karol Gthe song that won a Latin Grammy and has accumulated more than 920 million views to date Youtube.
They also appear, among other things, ‘I remember everything’, Zach Bryan with Kacey Musgraves; ‘Sprinter’, Dave & Central Cee, and ‘America Has a Problem’, by Beyonce in collaboration with Kendrick Lamar.

As is customary at the end of each year, the former president announced the annual selection of his preferences in cultural fieldspecifically theirs movies, music, music and favorite books.
As for the big screen, this year Obama decided to ‘Rusty’George C. Wolfe; ‘Leave the world behind’Sam Esmail and the documentary ‘American Symphony’, by Matthew Heineman, among other films.
To the list 13 movieswhich also includes ‘Oppenheimer’director Christopher Nolan, and ‘The Holdovers’, by Alexander Payne, the former Democratic president added another Thursday night, ‘The Color Purple,’ by Blitz Bazawule.
“Update: I just saw it Purple and i loved it. I’m adding it to this list as one of my favorite movies of the year,” the former president wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
A few days before ChristmasObama shared his list books favorites, 15 in all, including ‘The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store’, by James McBride; ‘The King: A Life’, by Jonathan Eig; ‘How to Say Babylon’, Safiya Sinclair; ‘Some People Need Killing’ by Patricia Evangelista and ‘This Other Eden’ by Paul Harding.
