It is common knowledge that we all make mistakes sometimes. Film and series makers are of course no exception. And since minor and major blunders are quite common on the screen or screen, there are even people who have made it their mission to find and list these errors. The great thing is that you can watch some movies or episodes over and over again without discovering the mistakes yourself.
This certainly also applies to the popular sitcom ‘Malcolm in the Middle’, which had 151 episodes from 2000 to 2006 and helped ensure that Bryan Cranston (‘Breaking Bad’) could really get off to a flying start. At the center of the series is gifted teen Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), who somehow tries to master his life while his chaotic family causes new disasters almost every day. Currently you can watch all seasons with a Disney+ subscription:
Have you discovered the error?
Season 7, Episode 5 (“The Beehead”) of “Malcolm in the Middle” features Hal (Cranston) who is chased by an angry bee after he throws away the bee’s nest in the garage. But the episode’s biggest flaw has to do with another character: namely Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan). After 15 minutes and 41 seconds, he is lying on the bed and playing with his Gameboy. Nothing unusual, right? But upon closer inspection it becomes clear that there is no game in the Game Boy!
An innocent mistake that obviously has no serious (logical) consequences, but is simply hilarious once you discover it. There are certainly many more such blunders to discover in “Malcolm in the Middle,” which might now be a reason for you to watch the beautiful, no-holds-barred sitcom for the first time or just again. Either way, you can enjoy the series.
