“There aren’t that many drugs”: Ex-Batman clearly rejects any further return after surprise comeback

“The Flash” unleashed a multiverse spectacle on the big screen this year, giving us countless guest appearances in DC history. Three well-known Batman actors were in front of the comedy actioner’s camera, but the most surprising return was kept secret until the film’s release.

Because although the big appearances of DCEU Batman Ben Affleck and Tim Burton Batman Michael Keaton were already known in advance, there is a very special cameo at the very end that almost no one expected…

George Clooney’s comeback with Bruce Wayne in ‘The Flash’

Just when Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) thinks that despite minimal changes he has completely restored his timeline and that he will meet his trusted mentor Bruce Wayne again, George Clooney suddenly steps out of the car instead of Ben Affleck. 26 years after the blockbuster pickle”Batman and RobinIt has been talked about repeatedly and Clooney himself has repeatedly criticized the film, the Oscar winner actually celebrating a mini-comeback as the Dark Knight’s alter ego.

But for anyone who was hoping that this unlikely return was just the harbinger of further appearances from Clooney as Bruce Wayne or Batman, the actor himself has now violently taken the wind out of their dream sails…

Will George Clooney become Batman again?

“I don’t think there are enough drugs in the world to make me come back.”said George Clooney on the sidelines of the premiere of his new directorial work ‘The Boys In The Boat’, when he emerged from was asked about the chances of another Batman comeback (the relevant passage can be seen in the following video from around 1:25).

These are very clear words, especially considering that Clooney apparently didn’t hesitate long to accept his guest appearance, according to “The Flash” director Andy Muschietti. But it is of course something different to just drop by for a joke than actually ending up in a role for a longer period of time with which you do not necessarily have good experiences. After “The Flash,” many people had already imagined that Clooney could play an outdated version of the Dark Knight in “Batman: The Brave And The Bold,” which is part of the new DCU and also directed by Andy Muschietti.

But according to the 62-year-old’s most recent statements, that is absolutely not in question. Instead, the film will once again introduce us to a completely new Batman actor who will fight crime together with his son Damian. “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson, among others, has already expressed great interest in the role:
