Trubschachen BE: Kambly adventure world

Kambly is perhaps the most delicious sweet pastry in Switzerland. Just the thought of delicious buttery biscuits turns many people’s mouths towards sweets. But Kambly biscuits taste even better if you eat them at Trubschachen, where they are made, rather than just buying them from a wholesaler.

In the Kambly experience world, in addition to the confections on display, the multimedia show and the Kambly Café, there are of course all kinds of new varieties and old classics to try. Even your own Kambly e-bike tour is included in the program.

Rigi LU: fondue trip to Rigi

Riding in the world’s oldest electric gear car (built in 1911) is an experience in itself. In the moonlight, you ascend the steep slope to 1,800 meters above sea level. During the journey, Rigi stewardesses will offer you an aperitif followed by the original Rigi fondue. A traditional delight in beautiful mountain landscapes. The adventure trip ends with a nice coffee and a surprise dessert. Offer available daily between November and March upon request.

Meiringen BE: Mmmmmmmmm

If you believe the proud people of Meiringen, the sweet ice cream cookies owe their name to the Bernese community. Legendary confectioner Gasparini is said to have invented meringue in Meiringen around 1600. No one really knows whether this is true or not. But that doesn’t matter either. The point is that foamy calorie bombs are still delicious four hundred years after their “invention.” And: thanks to Haslital’s proactive tourism experts, you can try becoming a meringue master yourself if you book in advance.

Leukerbad VS: Switzerland’s best restaurant

Travel platform Tripadvisor regularly reviews tens of thousands of feedback from its users and consistently creates a ranking of the best restaurants in Switzerland. In the foreground: the Waldhaus restaurant in Leukerbad.

The beautiful chalet will attract you with its fine cuisine and plenty of Swiss charm. In high season, live concerts as well as culinary delights are also included in the program. If you want to order a delicious nightcap after your meal, you will have a hard time choosing. Waldhaus has over 70 types of grappa in its liquor cabinet.

Ermatingen TG: Lake Constance Fishing Ermatingen

Few people know Lake Constance better than professional fisherman Rolf Meier. For 20 years, he has been sailing his small fishing boat across the large lake on the German border every morning at four o’clock. In addition to their snacks, the ship carries only fishing nets and sometimes a few guests.

If you want to learn something about fishing, you’ve come to the right place. And even if you’re not that into fishing, you won’t soon forget that magical moment when the sun slowly rises above the horizon and makes the lake glow in the early morning. But the best comes later: Rolf Meier’s fish is prepared into fine dining at the Seegarten restaurant in Ermatingen. A culinary dream.

Windisch AG: Windisch curve

Have you ever eaten Aargau buffalo? Or have you tried a fusion menu with local vegetables and Far Eastern spices? The Kurve restaurant in Windisch is one of the most original restaurants in Switzerland. You wouldn’t necessarily notice this from outside the restaurant. “Kurve” looks like a local neighborhood bar.

But when you walk in and sit on one of the old wooden chairs, you will be amazed by the smells coming only from the kitchen. Menus change seasonally, wines are mostly from the region, and portions are generous. And the subsequent digestive walk to the nearby moated castle was an acoustically intoxicating experience.
