Achensee
The Achensee is the largest Tyrolean lake and is often referred to as the Tyrolean Sea. It is also called the Alpine Fjord because of its narrow shape and the high mountains around it. In the summer, the lake is a popular swimming spot, and divers get their money’s worth at depths of up to 133 metres. The resort area around the lake is family friendly and offers an extensive holiday program in all seasons.

But Plansee is also ideal for swimming, sailing and windsurfing. For this reason, banks are visited a lot, especially in the summer months. Attersee, 18.9 kilometers long, is one of the largest lakes in Austria. Here, too, the water is crystal clear. What distinguishes Attersee from other Austrian lakes is its shores. It is not surrounded by a high mountain range, but only partially borders the Höllengebirge and Schafberg mountains. Therefore, large parts of the coast are exposed to the wind, providing ideal conditions for sailing and kitesurfing.
Fly: St. At the Attergau market festival in the village of Georgen, there is additional fun in the tents each summer when the traditional bike race ends in the middle of visitors.

The resort area is known, among others, for an average of 300 hours of sunshine per year, which allows for relaxation at any time of the year.
If you want to experience a beautiful backdrop culture by the lake, the Lake Festival in Mörbisch is for you.
Traunsee
