‘Saltburn’ has been in US cinemas since the end of November. The satirical psychological thriller starring “Euphoria” star Jacob Elordi, Barry Keoghan (“The Killing Of A Sacred Deer”) and Rosamund Pike (“Gone Girl – The Perfect Victim”) has been causing a stir on the internet ever since. Not only because of the stars in the leading roles, but also because ‘Promising Young Woman’ maker Emerald Fennell once again provides disturbing moments, which will probably be remembered for a long time.
The film will not be released in theaters here, but directly on Amazon Prime Video in just a few weeks. As now announced, “Saltburn” will be available on Prime Video starting December 22nd. In keeping with the attention Fennell’s latest film is currently receiving, the trailer that revealed the release date reads: “The movie everyone is talking about.”

On the summary collection page The share of positive reviews currently stands at 71 percent. It’s not outstanding, but it’s certainly solid. The average audience here is a slightly better 77 percent. So you don’t necessarily have to expect a masterpiece, but you don’t have to be prepared for disappointment either.
At the center of the story is the young Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), who finally wants to establish himself socially at the renowned University of Oxford. During his endeavors, he meets the charming Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to his aristocratic family’s lavish estate. Summer will indeed be unforgettable, but not in the way Oliver imagined…
