‘If we all…’ is the motto of Volunteer Day

International Volunteer Day day is celebrated International of Volunteers, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1985 and by Panama through Law 29 of 2014.

Theme 2023 “If we all …”, emphasizes the importance of joint action, cooperation and led solutions people to global challenges such as poverty, inequalities, conflicts, climate crisis and food insecurity, among others.

The date is marked by Panama Volunteer Foundation in a joint event with The Panama Canal Authority last Saturday, December 2nd.

With support C Foundationour ear, Recognition was given to 30 excellent volunteers from various social organizations, citizens and the environment for contributing to health, environmental protection, fight against poverty, promotion of education and humanitarian aid.

During the event, the Panama Canal Authority recognized associates who worked hard throughout the year at the disposal of their talents for various social and environmental activities that they carry out for the benefit community.

During the last decade, volunteering has grown more and more Panamaaccording to information from three national volunteer surveys implemented with the support of the public and private sectors.
