After the end of the fantasy megahit ‘Game Of Thrones’, the big question was: could the spin-off ‘House Of The Dragon’ also inspire fans? The first season certainly could – and so it’s no wonder ‘GoT’ fans are now flocking around the world We look forward to season 2 of ‘House Of The Dragon’, which will be released in early summer 2024 on HBO and in Germany on Sky and WOW.
The first trailer for the second season finally gives us our first look at what will happen next for Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy), her uncle and husband Daemon (Matt Smith), and the dowager king Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke). They are all fighting bitterly for the Iron Throne – for themselves or for their own children. And they don’t shy away from murder, as a particularly gruesome storyline in season 2 will show…
“Blood and Cheese” in season 2
Because it’s already known that season 2 will feature a particularly shocking scene from George RR Martin’s book ‘Fire and Blood’. We can also expect considerably more dragon action in the second season of “House Of The Dragon” than in season 1: In addition to the majestic animals from Season 1, five new dragons will roam the skies of Westeros.
The Stark family takes the stage

Ned Stark’s ancestor Cregan Stark is visited by Rhaenyra’s son Jacaerys (Harry Collet) at Winterfell to ally with his side in the conflict for the throne, which will culminate in a real civil war called Dance of the Dragons.
After the first season consisted of ten episodes, Season 2 of “House of the Dragon” slightly shorter at only eight episodes – but the cut was made for a good reason, which we will explain to you in the next article:
