We’ll have to wait a little longer until ‘Fallout’ hits Amazon Prime Video. The highly anticipated series adaptation of the video game of the same name will stream on April 12, 2024. But the expectation is great. Not only because the game is very popular, but also because the names behind the project stand for quality. “Westworld” creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are responsible for the format.
After the first computer game ‘Fallout’ was released in 1997, the post-apocalyptic sci-fi adventure quickly developed into a successful video game series. This now includes five main parts and several releases. The scenes are various major cities in the United States, which players can explore in extremely detailed fashion.
The story of “Fallout” itself takes place in the year 2077. Young Lucy lives here in an underground settlement. However, an extremely dangerous rescue mission forces her to the surface, where she is confronted with the dangerous consequences of the post-apocalypse. Giant insects, mutated animals and the moral decay of the survivors are just some of the threats that await the woman.
The “Fallout” series stars Ella Purnell (“Yellowjackets”), Walton Goggins (“The Hateful 8”), Kyle McLachlan (“Twin Peaks”) and Aaron Moten (“Disjointed”). Geneva Robertson-Dworet (“Tomb Raider”) and Graham Wagner (“The Office”) are on board as screenwriters. Jonathan Nolan not only serves as showrunner and producer on Lisa Joy, but also directed three episodes. The first season will consist of a total of eight episodes.
