Disney fans have reason to be happy, because the mouse studio is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. This anniversary is also celebrated in the new animated spectacle ‘Wish’, as the fairy tale is packed with allusions and Easter eggs to Disney history – you’ll probably have to watch the film several times to make them all out.
But ‘Wish’ also has a lot to offer. Especially fans of the comedy format “LOL: Last One Laughing” will be very familiar with the voice of the baker Dahlia, her best friend and companion of the main character Asha. This is from the comedian Hazel Brugger who appeared in seasons 3 and 4 of the hit comedy show (and is currently also one of the prominent participants in the successful ProSieben format “Who will steal the show from me?”).
This is Hazel Brugger
Hazel Brugger is a Swiss-German stand-up comedian who became known to a wider audience in this country through her appearances in the news satire program ‘heute-show’. She also fought for the title in the third and fourth seasons of “LOL: Last One Laughing,” taking seventh and second place, respectively. The comedian runs several podcast series with her husband Thomas Spitzer.
If you want to know how Hazel Brugger is doing as a voice actress, you can currently see it for yourself in theaters. Since November 30, she can be heard in the German-language version of “Wish” alongside Patricia Meeden, Stefan Kaminski and Alexander Doering, who lend their voices to the characters here.
We can only recommend that you buy a ticket, because a heart-warming Disney film never hurts, especially in this cold season. Editor-in-chief Christoph Petersen gives the animated film no less than 3.5 out of 5 stars in his FILMSTARTS review and draws the following conclusion:
