Who in the kingdom was racist towards the prince’s son?

A new book about the British monarchy, which in its Dutch edition names members of the royal family who allegedly made racist comments before the birth of Harry and Meghan’s first child, has sparked controversy in the United Kingdom.

The author “Game Over”, Journalist Omid Scobie denied on the BBC last night that the identification of King Charles and Catherine, Prince William’s wife, as the alleged authors of these statements in that edition, which was quickly withdrawn from sale, was a “publicity stunt”.

Scobie said on the show ‘Newsht’ that it is an “error” and assures that an “investigation is open” to find out how these names were included in the Dutch edition when they do not appear in the British one, which he assures he himself “wrote and edited.”

A journalist, who is considered close Duke of Sussexclaims he found out about the controversy “through social media” and feels “hurt” by “conspiracy theories that it’s a publicity stunt.”

The passage refers to the accusations he made Prince Harry and Meghan during an interview with the American Oprah Winfrey in 2021, when they said that members of the royal family doubted the color of their son’s skin, since his mother is of mixed race.

In the English version of the book, Scobie writes that there were two people involved in that conversation and that he knew their identities, but could not reveal them for legal reasons.

However, the Dutch edition, entitled “Eindstrijd”, says that they are two people the king and Catherine.

Dutch publisher Xander Uitgevers announced that he a book it will be republished on Friday in a “corrected” version.

“An error occurred in Dutch translation and is currently being resolved,” its executive director Anke Roelen said on Tuesday.

As for the possibility of taking legal action in the matter, Buckingham Palace said it was “exploring all options”.
