‘All Of Us Strangers’ is a romantic fantasy drama from Great Britain with two great leads. In the FILMSTARTS review, author Sidney Schering gives it the highest rating of five stars, describing the work with attributes such as “bittersweet”, “deadly sad”, “comforting” and “seductive”. In his conclusion he calls the film an “emotional rush that gets under your skin”.

The film’s two leads are played by Andrew Scott (“1917,” “Sherlock”) and rising “Gladiator 2” star Paul Mescal of “Normal People” and “Aftersun.” They are joined by Claire Foy of “The Crown” and Jamie Bell (“Rocketman”) in key roles.

“All Of Us Strangers”: that’s the story
Adam (Scott), who works as a television screenwriter, is in a melancholic phase of his life. This is probably because he is currently working on a script with extremely autobiographical features. One evening, a chance meeting with Harry (Mescal), who lives in the same London apartment building, interrupts his pensive solitude.
Despite their differences, a loving relationship quickly develops between the men, but it is tested by a childhood trauma that surfaces: when Adam was only twelve years old, both parents (Bell and Foy) died.
To gain inspiration for his project, Adam takes a trip to his old neighborhood in the suburbs. Inexplicably he suddenly meets his father and mother again. Although they clearly don’t recognize him at first, Adam immediately knows who he is dealing with. Mom and Dad still look exactly the same as they did back then and are the same age as he is now…
