“Evil Dead” creator Fede Alvarez is currently responsible for the return of the infamous xenomorph to the big screen with “Alien: Romulus.” As has now been announced, the feature film will be set between Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien’ and James Cameron’s ‘Aliens’. But that’s not enough of the ‘Alien’ universe, because next year, in addition to the cinematic spectacle, we can also expect a series about the creepy creature from an alien world.
‘Fargo’ creator Noah Hawley makes sure of this. It is still unclear when the series will be released next year. At least the scripts were written before Hollywood went on strike. The lead role here is played by Sydney Chandler, who was last seen in “Don’t Worry Darling” alongside Florence Pugh and Harry Styles.
A “Star Wars” star as a mentor
Now that has also been announced Timothy Elephant will be there too. The actor not only recently demonstrated his heroism as Cobb Vanth in ‘The Mandalorian’, but was also able to team up with Noah Hawley in the fourth season of ‘Fargo’. Olyphant also appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”, the action series “Justified” and as a villain in “Die Hard 4.0”.
How Olphant will reportedly take on the role of Kirsh in the Ridley Scott-produced ‘Alien’ series. He acts as a mentor and trainer for Wendy, played by Chandler. This is a hybrid, that is, a metahuman. She has the consciousness of a child, but the body of an adult. The series itself is set on Earth many years before the first ‘Alien’ and is also the first story in the series.
