Hello everyone, my name is Sophie and I am in a somewhat complicated situation. I’m 25 and recently dated a really nice guy. We have very good conversations, laugh a lot and get along well.
But now he has revealed to me that he is a virgin and does not want sex before marriage for personal reasons. To be honest, this really threw me off track as I have no intention of getting married in the near future. Or to get married at all. But sex is an important part of a relationship for me, and now I’m really torn. Should I continue this and see if my feelings change? Or his? Or should I pull the ripcord now to spare us both unnecessary grief?
Do any of you have similar experiences or can give me some advice? Can you have a relationship if one party wants sex and the other doesn’t? I don’t think he would be okay with me just having sex with someone else until we’re married…
