Julissa Nova: Passionate and persistent woman

Julissa Nova is a Dominican who excelled in the field of public relations and after two decades of experience decided to start The Prism Group.

Nova created this Miami-based agency that has well-known brands in its portfolio.

Julissa Nova shared with Panama America details of how the agency came to be and information about his personal life. She is passionate and persistent.

The Prism group was created by the idea of ​​three friends with many years of experience in various fields, looking for the right moment to create project as a whole which, in addition, is adapted to theirs needs.

“In addition to professional ambitions, we also had other ambitions reality common thing that united us to undertake together: we were mothers, immigrants without family support in that country, with small children. We needed the flexibility in the schedule that entrepreneurship provides, in order to fulfill our role as a mother,” she said.

Regarding the presence of the agency in different countries, Nova states that they are personally and permanently partially present in the Caribbean, throughout Central America, South America and Mexico. They have offices in the Dominican Republic, Panama, and soon in others. capitals of Latin America.

He also comments that the specialty is combining the art of counting stories with all the services they offer.

“We have been focused on development for 10 years creative communication strategies and branding to promote the positioning and brand recognition of our clients in different Latin American markets. We offer services such as media relations, event management, social media management, digital campaigns and influencer alliances,” he explained, via e-mail.

After a decade, “without a doubt, the biggest challenge we faced as a public relations agency was “adapting to the constant changes in industry“.

“When we started 10 years ago, the media landscape was different. We had more access to editorial spaces for marketing branded content, today the reality we live in is very different, due to the change in media consumption by the audience,” he calculated.

On the other hand, Nova indicated that they have started a regional mentoring project, which is already covering Dominican Republic and soon it will start in Panama with which “we want to contribute to the students of social communications”.

“Under the name of Prism Empowerment, we offer an opportunity to the next generation of women in communications and marketing. In this program, students will be able to rotate through different areas of the company in order to finally develop 360 strategy for a local non-governmental organization,” he said.
