To keep the bottle warmer longer, it will be helpful to sprinkle some dissolved salt into the water. This old trick works because salt water has a higher heat capacity, which means the bottle stays hot longer.

But be careful: you should never fill the bedding bottle with boiling water. The pressure created by the expansion of water vapor can cause it to explode. You should also not fill the bottle completely, only two-thirds of it.

Another simple warming tool is pillows made of cherry pits or grain. You can heat it in the microwave at 600 watts for about two minutes or in the oven at 150 degrees for about ten minutes. To prevent overheating, the pillow should always cool completely before reheating.

You can easily make a cherry pit pillow yourself. To do this, you need fabric that you sew together to make a pillow and fill it with cherry seeds, rapeseed, chestnuts or spelled seeds. If you don’t want to sew, you can also use an old, zippered pillowcase.
